Beto O'Rourke answers question in 'Spanglish' as he attempts to relaunch his campaign on 'The View'

2020 Dem presidential candidate went on “The View” on Tuesday in an attempt to relaunch his failing campaign:

"This is your relaunch today, maybe?" @WhoopiGoldberg asks @BetoORourke on @TheView pic.twitter.com/kIxeUYsgXn

And then he started speaking in Spanish because that’s just what was missing:

2. @BetoORourke just started speaking Spanish in the middle of answering a question about his decision to "reset" his campaign.

Or as CNN’s Leyla Santiago correctly calls it, “Spanglish”:

.@BetoORourke is quick to shift into Spanglish on @TheView, something he often does at town halls on the campaign trail. pic.twitter.com/5ZgGkPiHeE

And it’s never a good sign when you’re accused of being a stoner:

Trump's nasty nickname for @BetoORourke: "Crazy hands — he calls him #crazyhands," @ananavarro says on @TheView.

"When they go low do you go high — or do you get high?" asks @JoyBehar.

"To be clear, no to the last question," Beto says.

Beto admitted the “Vanity Fair” cover and story was probably not a good idea:

Beto tells The View that his Vanity Fair coverage reeks of "privilege" and that he bungled his "born to be in it" line, and meant he was born for public service, not the presidency

Watch:

NEW: Beto O'Rourke tells @TheView that Vanity Fair cover on 2020 run was "attempting to say that I felt that my calling was in public service," but it "reinforces that perception of privilege."

Does he even want to be president?

Beto answers if he has the experience to run the country: "There’s no one person who can be up to all the challenges we just described…." says we have to work together. #2020Election #TheView

More importantly, Beto refused to back off his call to remove fencing along the border:

.@MeghanMcCain notes that @BetoORourke said he'd take down existing #borderwall. "Is your view that we should accept just anyone who claims asylum? And if so why do we even have a border?"

Beto argues the border is safe but adds, "Yes, we are a nation of laws." @TheView

Can we just be done with him already?

Trump’s Beto nickname should be Fetch because the media keeps trying to make him happen.
