Cindy McCain has apologized after wrongfully claiming she stopped the human trafficking of a child at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport earlier this week:
At Phoenix Sky Harbor, I reported an incident that I thought was trafficking. I commend the police officers for their diligence. I apologize if anything else I have said on this matter distracts from “if you see something, say something”

The “anything else I have said on this matter” refers to an interview she gave where she said her tip stopped the trafficking of the child who was a different ethnicity than the mother:

After the interview, police were forced to publicly correct here:
Phoenix police said Wednesday that while officers did respond to the Jan. 30 call, at McCain’s request, they were able to determine “there was no evidence of criminal conduct or child endangerment.” https://t.co/TTH1d4B4oe via @azfamily

It’s going to be a rough day for the McCains:
I commend Cindy McCain on remaining vigilant about human trafficking.
I mean, if we aren't careful, some large agency could start taking immigrant children from their parents at the border.

One of the harshest responses we’ve seen to the story is from Doug Stafford, chief strategist to Rand Paul:
I travel through this and other airports. I have three adopted black children including two toddlers.
No one needs Cindy McCain or anyone else policing families of mixed ethnicity.

The McCains adopted a little girl from Bangladesh and are aware of what it’s like to travel with a child that’s a different ethnicity from the mother, so it’s hard to believe that racism was involved in her report to the police, despite how much libs might wish it to be so:
Dude… you have a black daughter.
