Update:

Just talked to Jesse Kelly about his @Twitter account being suspended/deleted.

He has no idea what happened, he says he never received any messages from Twitter notifying him of any kind of violation of the platform's terms of service.

Update 2: “Permanently banned”:

Wow. @JesseKellyDC was permanently banned per his message to me just now. #FreeJesseKelly pic.twitter.com/4jPLbC7HHq

But Twitter might be investigating:

BREAKING: A Twitter spokesperson told me they were going to look into why Jesse Kelly's account was suspended.

Their official response: "We have nothing to share on this account."

It looks like he had been tweeting about the Confederacy before the suspension, which may explain it:

Defending the confederacy to own the libs. https://t.co/vxHgTKFbjo

Don’t forget to muse about the confederacy.

There is no “center line” in the Civil War.

Okay, first of all, I'm still over here defending bad rock and roll.

Second, men like like Nathan Bedford Forrest – the men who led those Southern boys to war – were rich slaveowners. Your limited point, Jesse, might be strictly true, but it is disingenuous and irrelevant. /1

We’ll keep you posted if/when we found out just what pissed Twitter off this time.
