CNN is reporting that the Cajun Navy, a group of volunteers who help first responders rescue people during hurricanes and other natural disasters, is already pre-deployed to South Carolina ahead of Hurricane Florence:

The Cajun Navy is in Columbia, SC ahead of Hurricane Florence.
Member Clyde Cain says Cajun Navy has been in touch with DHS, FEMA, and local agencies to assist in efforts in the region.
