The Broward County School District has filed suit against the Sun Sentinel newspaper along with two of the paper’s reporters after they published excerpts from an un-redacted report prepared by the district on the February shooting in Parkland:
We’ve found it —the dumbest school board in the United States https://t.co/TeYhRQMSkm
— Marc Caputo (@MarcACaputo) August 7, 2018
You see, the geniuses at the Broward County School District sent out a redacted copy of the report where the redactions could be removed if the document was opened in Microsoft Word:
A little background: the school board released a report last week and tried to redact it. But the district is so incompetent that it screwed it up the redactions and @SunSentinel was able to report new truths about how the school district failed Cruzhttps://t.co/326hm3WwQR

From the Sun Sentinel:
The Broward County government continues to impress https://t.co/94Ul0I5uVu pic.twitter.com/AnZpsbeBNf
— CJ Ciaramella (@cjciaramella) August 7, 2018
Of course, the redacted portions are highly critical of the district:
“The redactions removed specifics of the killer’s history in the school system — and in the process removed details of mistakes the district made in handling him.” https://t.co/OuCGmxK78n
— Brett Clarkson (@BrettClarkson_) August 7, 2018
And:
The hidden portion of the redacted report also showed that Broward’s school superintendent, Robert Runcie, gave inaccurate info to the press claiming Cruz didn’t want services. Actually, Cruz did. And the school district messed it up

Which bring us to CNN’s Brian Stelter who seems quite miffed at the school district going after journalists:
What?! "The Broward County School Board on Monday asked a judge to hold the South Florida @SunSentinel and two of its reporters in contempt of court over the publication of a report about the Parkland shooter’s years within the school system." https://t.co/GVbcbGDgYd
— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) August 7, 2018
So with all of the misconduct and errors made by the school district, THIS is what gets Stelter going?
NOW you guys are noticing misconduct with the the Broward County School Board. 17 dead kids – NRA’s fault. Mess with a journalist – That’s a step too far! https://t.co/kmL5N3yHs7

Can barely be lift a finger investigating months of misconduct with Nikolas Cruz leading up to that shooting, after CNN’s show trial. But man when a journalist gets in trouble they seriously dun goofed now.
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) August 7, 2018
HAHAHA ==>
Maybe we can get the Broward County School District to start selling T-Shirts National journalists don’t like. That’ll get their attention fast.

It’s funny because it’s true.
