George P. Bush, son of Jeb Bush and early endorser of Donald Trump in 2016 despite everything the future president had to say about his dad in the primaries, is on the outs with Team Trump after recent criticism from the Bush family regarding immigration. CNN reports:
Confirmed — Trump Jr. withdrew from a George P. Bush fundraiser because of the family's criticism of his father. He cautioned George P. that he wouldn't publicly support him if it continued — the tweet from Jeb about the separation of families was the last straw, I'm told.

Apparently it was this tweet from Jeb Bush that broke the camel’s proverbial back:
This tweet from @JebBush was the last straw, prompting Donald Trump Jr. To pull out of fundraiser for George P. Bush, a source tells @kaitlancollins @CNNPolitics https://t.co/T91hG650Zk https://t.co/zyEugzWJsQ

But the president was probably also mad at this op-ed from former First Lady Laura Bush:
I live in a border state. I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.https://t.co/he1uw1E96A

Jeb was warned. Jeb was given an explanation. Nevertheless, Jeb persisted:
"Trump Jr. personally likes George P. Bush, the source said, but cautioned him… that he would not be able to publicly support him if Jeb Bush… continued to criticize the President." https://t.co/XCdAwjPgZh

The president had endorsed George P. in his successful primary for Texas Land Commissioner back in February:
Texas LC George P. Bush backed me when it wasn’t the politically correct thing to do, and I back him now. Also, AC Sid Miller has been with me from the beginning, he is “Trump’s Man in Texas.” Also support Comptroller Glenn Hegar, and Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick.

And as recently as May, George P. praised Trump’s handling of North Korea:
In politics, results matter. President Donald J. Trump has shown in his handling of North Korea that he can be both firm but willing to talk. And this approach led to the release of American prisoners. Well done, Mr. President and Sec. Pompeo. https://t.co/q7MeY6p0dI
