Actress Mary McCormack shows off her Tesla's new flamethrower option

Actress Mary McCormack (“West Wing,” “In Plain Sight”) posted a video on Friday showing her husband’s Tesla “in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.”:

@Tesla This is what happened to my husband and his car today. No accident, out of the blue, in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd. Thank you to the kind couple who flagged him down and told him to pull over. And thank god my three little girls weren’t in the car with him pic.twitter.com/O4tPs5ftVo

Cool new feature. We had no idea Elon Musk had integrated his flamethrower into his automobiles:

McCormack later tweeted that she had no yet heard back from the company why the flamethrower activated while the car was in motion:

No word from them.

Actress Justine Bateman suggested that it was user error:

McCormack’s video then led to Chelsea Handler alerting everyone that she will no longer driver her car:

Everyone with an early model Tesla needs to be aware of this. I have one that I will not be driving again. @Tesla @elonmusk https://t.co/ylEntSWYcD

And “Fear the Walking Dead” executive producer called her Tesla the “worst car [she’s] ever owned”:

I had a Tesla – worst car I’ve ever owned. My entire digital console would black out and I couldn’t tell how fast I was going, or how much charge I had left. It was incredibly dangerous, but nothing compared to what happened to your husband. I’m so glad he wasn’t injured! https://t.co/0eaaefXuZQ
