REVERSE DISCRIMINATION? Bill de Blasio takes aim at Asian-Americans in push to diversify NYC's elite high schools

New York City Bill de Blasio is pushing to diversify New York City’s elite high school by setting aside 20% of the seats for those from “disadvantaged communities”:

It’s not exactly clear how de Blasio will define a disadvantaged community, but it does seem that Asian-Americans will be the hardest hit.

Asian-Americans make up roughly 12% of New York City’s population, but they’re almost 73% of the kids at Stuyvesant High School and 62% at Bronx Science.

We eagerly await Mayor de Blasio’s explanation for his reverse discrimination plan and why these minority families should be hardest hit by his new policy.
