The Broward County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance videos from the February 14 attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, FL saying in a statement that “The video speaks for itself” and that [Deputy Scot Peterson’s] actions were enough to warrant an internal affairs investigation, as requested by Sheriff Scott Israel on Feb. 21.”

The news orgs that received the video are going the 27-minute tape now:
School Surveillance Released: we are analyzing frame by frame. It shows Deputy Scot Peterson hopping on golf cart less than min after shooting started, drives toward building where shooting is taking place, and takes cover less than 200 feet away @nbc6 pic.twitter.com/R8e8r9TdZo

As we expected, the tape shows Peterson just standing outside the building while the killing was taking place inside:

A judge authorized the release of the videos on Monday, which the Broward Sheriff’s office had been attempting to stop:
Hi Sheriff, will all the calls you missed be on it? Will the video you won’t release be on it as well? https://t.co/xCej0uyqB8
