WHOOPS! Television Academy confuses Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr.

For an industry battling diversity issues, this might be a problem. The official Twitter account of the Television Academy accidentally labeled star Terrence Howard as Cuba Gooding Jr. They quickly deleted the tweet, but, alas … screenshots are forever:

Cuba Gooding Jr. is nominated, too, for his role in, “The People vs. O.J. Simpson.” Host Jimmy Kimmel even led off with an O.J. joke:
