Tallahassee City Commissioner Scott Maddox (D) was arrested this morning by the FBI and hit with a 44-count indictment on charges of “racketeering, bank fraud, extortion and bribery”:

Maddox was Mayor of Tallahassee before fellow Democrat Andrew Gillum, who just lost the Florida gubernatorial race to Republican Ron DeSantis in part because of allegations of corruption in the capital:
