Jared Kushner blamed for Stuttering John prank call to Trump on Air Force One [Audio, Transcript]

It appears that comedian John Melendez, better known as “Stuttering John” from the “Howard Stern Show,” was somehow able to get in touch with President Donald Trump on Air Force one by impersonating Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ):

If someone told me in 2003 that in 15 years Stuttering John would call the White House and prank President Donald Trump I would have that person committed

The call is being blamed on Jared Kushner:

More on sloppy protocol: Legislative affairs was notified of call, checked with Mendendez COS, who said he was not trying to reach POTUS. Leg affairs said kill the call. It was patched through, however, reportedly by Kushner. https://t.co/OnLDLmUK7t

A person inside the White House with knowledge on the timetable of the call told ‘Politico' it was routed to Trump by Jared Kushner. https://t.co/95qEJ7kXoS

"OK, cool, I’ll tell him." – Jared Kushner. Stuttering John was able to pose as Sen. Menendez and get a phone call with Trump even though he didn't know what state he represented. https://t.co/DEfrzGirxw

As NYT’s Maggie Haberman points out, Kushner and Sen. Menendez have the same attorney:

And who do Menendez and Kushner have in common? Abbe Lowell https://t.co/YLwJKuxChW

Politics aside, this is pretty funny though:

I draw no political conclusion here, except to say that this is true entertainment. I was *dying*.
