With only a few hours left in 2017, can CNN make it to the new year without an embarrassing error?
The answer is: NO.
First up, here’s CNN tweeting about the anti-government protesters in Iran, who just happen to be marching with pro-government and anti-Israel signs:
President Trump tweets his support for protests taking place in Iran, writing, "The world is watching!" https://t.co/XE8YCXtC5y pic.twitter.com/A7bzkWgclg

Yep — WHOOPS! Those are actually pro-government supporters. CNN corrected itself — BADLY — in a response a few hours later:
President Trump tweets his support for protests taking place in Iran, writing, "The world is watching!" https://t.co/XE8YCXtC5y (Corrects to show photo of anti-government protests instead of pro-government protests) pic.twitter.com/qcDNcu1dvV

And maybe CNN can let us know what’s a “PRO-GOVERNMENT PROTEST”?

Proving, once again, that reality is stranger than any fiction anyone could ever come up with. https://t.co/80LIZtGska

Keep in mind, this came after the Jake Tapper–Stephen Miller back-and-forth we told you about where Miller criticized CNN for covering the pro-government rally instead of the anti-government protesters:
@redsteeze I know I shouldn't laugh, but… https://t.co/VJsf6dwq1y

Oh, we’re still laughing too.
