I Asked Democrats for an Iota of Sanity on the Mall and the Left's Reaction Was Hilariously On-Brand

As a small account on X, I will never understand what causes some tweets to go semi-viral. Obviously, if a large 'influencer' account sees a post and retweets it, that's going to garner a lot of attention and engagement. Outside of that, however, much of the algorithm on X doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Over the weekend, as I noticed the left's absolutely batpoop-insane and destructive reaction to President Trump's renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, I posted a very simple, modest proposal for the Democrat Party -- ANYONE in the Democrat Party.

They can't do it. They can't say it. They absolutely HATE this country.

Fetterman is literally the only one who would say something like that. And the Democrats hate him for it.

As far as posts go, I didn't consider this one to be particularly profound or noteworthy. Just a simple plea for normalcy and the tiniest sliver of patriotism for America's 250th birthday. As I noted in the post, I didn't expect any Democrat to follow this prescription; it was just a comment about how insanely far-left and anti-American the party has become, including its leaders.

For whatever reason, though, the post took off (for a little account like mine, anyway), with thousands of likes and retweets. Possibly because we have such a dearth of common sense on the left these days. For the most part, everyone recognized and supported that.

But, of course, whenever any tweet gains some traction, that is the cue for the Democrats' 'useful idiots' on X to start screeching like banshees.

How easy would it have been for him to tell them to stop - his own rally attendees! Instead he gleefully watched it on tv for hours before being pressured into a weak statement.

Actually, what I remember is Trump telling people to peacefully make their voices heard. AND I remember him telling people to go home after the Capitol Police incited a riot by firing smoke grenades and rubber bullets at the demonstrators.

But none of those facts matter. Fifty years from now, leftists will STILL claim that January 6 was worse than Pearl Harbor, the Civil War, 9/11, and the Holocaust combined. (Except that an increasing number of lefties probably don't even believe anymore that the Holocaust ever happened, given their exploding antisemitism and adulation of Nazi sympathizers like Graham Platner and Hasan Piker.)

The left also loves to come up with complete non-sequiturs to defend the indefensible.

Umm ... OK. But what does that have to do with the fact that leftists are actively sabotaging the pool, and no elected Democrat is telling them to stop?

It's easy to say that Democrats hate Trump far more than they love America. This is true, but that is just far too low a bar. Because leftists don't love America at all. As I noted in the original post, they actively HATE this country. Trump Derangement Syndrome is just a symptom of that disease.

We all saw this when Barack Obama dedicated his Death Star ... err, Presidential Center over the weekend. Did he praise the country that gave him everything? Of course, he didn't.

Instead, he extolled the virtues of violent domestic extremists who attacked ICE agents in Minneapolis for upholding the law.

Personally, I don't care if leftists react to one of my posts with all of the nonsense above. In fact, I kind of appreciate it. Because when they do, they openly reveal themselves for who they truly are. And they make it so much easier for regular, non-politically engaged Americans to turn their backs on the party, as they deserve.

I see that a simple plea to the Democrats for the tiniest modicum of sanity has caused miserable leftists to incoherently screech at me today.
