Jake Tapper stated that he was surprised there hasn’t been a national conversation about the damage done to kids by school closures on the front end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Seriously, Jake? You’re surprised? It requires two people to have a conversation.
Those who questioned school closings were accused of wanting to kill Grandma and kids.

To be clear, we’re not saying Tapper never brought the topic of school closures up (he did), but it seems unbelievable he doesn’t understand why the ‘national conversation’ never took place.
@jaketapper was talking about this issue long before other liberal media. I always thought the rest of them should listen but i suppose it was too hard to admit they were wrong.

It was pure politics, Jake.
Public school closures were largely being extended by the influence of teachers unions, who exercise big political power, so Democrats kept their mouths shut while kids fell behind.
Rebekah Jones was calling Tapper a murderer for his advocacy of open schools. He’s generally a shameless hack, but he’s legit on this one issue.

Yep, that was the standard treatment of anyone who questioned school closures.
I…I…hahahahahaha

We remember, Jake. Good times.
Because @rweingarten is a reprehensible human being. Stop gaslighting America @jaketapper and tell the real story. Why did red states open schools so much sooner than blue states? @CNN was the PR arm of the various teacher unions. https://t.co/PiKPIlEKb5

There it is.
We've tried! But you in the media keep running interference for your fellow Democrats to protect them from losing that conversation.

Yep.
You don't often see a network journalist just come right out and admit he lives in an insane liberal media bubble. https://t.co/VcbPPTH87r

We find it hard to believe Tapper doesn’t understand the topic was taboo for political reasons.
I wish I'd said this on air 32 months ago.

LOL!!!
Just because CNN didn't cover it doesn't mean there hasn't been a whole lot of conversation https://t.co/vT0XlgaMwD

They probably could have spent some time on this instead of hours of Brian Stelter droning on about what was on Fox News on any given day.
Dude, we have been talking about this for a long time.
When @RonDeSantisFL put kids back in school, the Democrats were calling him DeathSantis.
He knew.
We all knew. https://t.co/uzKgH7vSrc— George Wept (@GeorgeWept) October 22, 2022
‘I’m really surprised there wasn’t a national conversation between Ron DeathSantis and Democrats about school closures.’
C’mon man!
