Robert Reich is trending on Twitter again, proving the platform is functioning splendidly at elevating garbage takes that are getting dumped on by Twitter users.
Here’s what Robert Reich fails to understand: Employees who don’t live in the protected bubble of academia don’t have the luxury of actively opposing their employer.
Clearly, Musk’s actions at Twitter were not all about ‘cutting costs’. He dared the ‘woke’ employees to get mad and leave. These people were not going to be team players at the new Twitter. Good riddance. He fired others who were selling blue checks. And, yes, he canned many he assumed were simply dead weight.
He was cleaning house, and guess what? Now he’s hiring.
Here's what Elon Musk fails to understand:
Much of a corporations' value lies in their workers — their knowledge, skills, and ideas.
When he fired half of Twitter’s workforce and drove off even more, he wasn't “cutting costs.”
He was actively destroying what he bought.
— Robert Reich (@RBReich) November 24, 2022
Musk has made clear that Twitter is a business, just like any other, and not the Left’s woke nirvana of thought control.
They hate him for it.
So what did Twitter users think of Robert Reich and his view that Musk is ‘actively destroying what he bought’?
Interesting … now pay $8
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 25, 2022
LOLOLOL! Never gets old.
Can I pay $8 NOT to listen to Robert Reich. I will gladly pay more if we can turn him off
— Robert Fishel (@FishelRobert) November 25, 2022
HA! Now there’s an idea. Just be glad you’re not one of Professor Reich’s students.
And yet, here you are, literally tweeting on a dead platform.
You managed to fulfill the daily irony supplement.
— Schadenfreudelish (@aggierican) November 24, 2022
Yep. Twitter is working just fine. Usage is up, speech is freer, and Robert Reich is having absolutely no problem sharing his bad opinions with the world – as it should be.
“… Reich said via a perfectly functioning micro-broadcasting Internet website called Twitter.”
— Ashley Rindsberg (@AshleyRindsberg) November 24, 2022
‘The Titanic docked in New York City today after sinking in the Atlantic.’
‘The Hindenburg will fly to Manhattan today after crashing in a fiery blaze in New Jersey this past Thursday.’
‘Robert Reich tweets from destroyed social media platform.’
It just doesn’t work, Bob.
Twitter destruction porn. The walls are closing in on Musk. https://t.co/Z5Kw3c7CCJ
— Scott Adams (@ScottAdamsSays) November 25, 2022
It’s the beginning of the end. The writing’s on the wall.
What he bought was a Democrat super-PAC, so yeah.
— Joel Berry (@JoelWBerry) November 25, 2022
Good point. Twitter 1.0 is being dismantled. Twitter 2.0, on the other hand, seems to be doing just fine.
The 'workforce' was told it actually had to work or leave. What's your beef?
— Shenandoah Writer (@ShenandoahWrit1) November 24, 2022
‘HOW DARE HE!!!’
One thing is clear, nobody will be getting beef from Twitter’s free lunch program. Boom.

Now we’re getting somewhere. Twitter wasn’t exactly doing well as a business. Musk claimed the company was losing $4 million a day when he took over.
We’re sure that sounds great to a government cog like Robert Reich. Those of us in the real world see that as a disaster.
What Robert Reich fails to understand:
Employees who are hostile to new ownership and direction are a liability as they have no loyalty to the new owner.
So those who have departed were partly cost cutting but mostly risk mitigation. @elonmusk

Spot on.
Here’s a challenge to any Lefties: Publicly badmouth your employer or their plans for the company. Also, do this while updating your resume, because you’re going to need it soon.
Insider threats are a key topic of security training for tech workers. Why? Because a compromised or disgruntled employee can cause massive damage. Risk mitigation, indeed.
Yes, they were exceptionally skilled at controlling free speech, suppressing and covering up news that would alter their agenda, and they were perhaps the worlds best at throwing Molotov cocktails on topics that they wanted to use to amplify societal issues that they supported.

This is what actually has Bob’s dander up. Twitter’s not going to help them spike the next Hunter Biden laptop story or can right wing accounts simply for hurting their feelings.
T-shirt, Robert? pic.twitter.com/dNRxNRG6l9
— William (@ChurlishPhil) November 25, 2022
He’s got tenure. We doubt he understands this.
Rx What hellscape did I wake to where Taylor Lorenz and Robert Reich (who blocked me over disagreements regarding Obamacare) are trending
— The Gormogons (@Gormogons) November 25, 2022
That’s the Twitter we all know and love! LOL.
Robert you should start a business and show him how it's done
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) November 24, 2022
Right? Musk just fired the greatest tech wokeforce in the history of the world, according to angry left wingers.
Just make your own Twitter, Mr. Reich. Hiring should be simple.

They’re terrified that Elon Musk is going to throw off Twitter’s leftward bias and culture and thrive.
The freer, the better, we say.
‘To each according to his tweets.’
Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. https://t.co/TrDpuacwup

We’re not sure there’s ever been a better use of this old adage.

We’ll just close this one out with James Woods, a man who was suspended by Twitter 1.0 for tweeting bad things about a Democrat.
