Former CNN White House reporter turned independent DC Reflecting Pool newshound Jim Acosta often has the replies to his posts on X turned off, but not in the case of this post after it was learned that Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt would be leaving at the end of the month.
The ratio on this post reached a level where it eventually caught the attention of the person who posted it:
Light a candle for Karoline Leavitt as she leaves the job of WH press sec as perhaps the biggest liar of all time for Trump. Way to go! https://t.co/Jyc7VQJdIK

Projection was detected!

Acosta then thought it would be a good idea to explain why the ratio on his above post isn't real.
This is genuinely hilarious:
Trump MAGA WH goons/bots now flooding my comments in the last several hours. This comment count just skyrocketed. A reminder that they can create ratios that aren’t really ratios. pic.twitter.com/PpEgn89ulB

He tried.
And as you might have guessed, Acosta's explanation for why the previous post isn't really getting ratioed is getting ratioed.

Cries about being consistently ratioed
Maybe you just suck, Jim https://t.co/oOTJ0iaqzT
We'll now wait for those replies to be turned back off.
