Hey look, we've got another Democrat who thinks they can put their state above federal law with the stroke of a pen, but would like everybody to believe that Trump's the wannabe absolute monarch.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom already tried that one and it didn't go very well:

The "we're not going to allow federal agents to wear masks here" Democrats know it's all performative nonsense meant to make it look to their base as if they're standing up to Trump (while of course never mentioning WHY federal agents often need to be masked).

As of 12:00 AM, New York’s law prohibiting most law enforcement officials from wearing masks while carrying out their duties is now in effect.
New Yorkers have a right to know who is exercising law enforcement authority in their communities.
Hochul, however, has taken an extra step and had the AG make a snitch site where masked ICE agents can be reported:
