To a large degree, the Associated Press exists to help push leftist narratives. Two of the biggest examples of that can be found in the AP's reporting about climate change and "trans" issues.
As for climate change, the AP regularly carries water for the alarmists. Just a couple of examples from recent years:

The climate change cult has even caused the AP to try and make people hate animals:

If you're worried about a "carbon footprint" when choosing a freaking pet perhaps you might want to check into an institution. Also did you notice that doozy of a community note? Ah, "journalism"!
That brings me to the "trans" issue of the day.
Last summer the AP proved that they take this issue personally and when things don't go the Left's way it's a "huge setback":

That could have been much easier. Here's how that post would be if the AP weren't pushing lefty agendas: IOC rules that men can't compete in women's sports at the Olympics.
An even shorter option would be IOC bans cheating in the Olympic Games.
The AP just refuses to stop living in a 100 percent nonexistent alternate reality in order to please their leftist benefactors.
