Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is among the Democrats jostling for position far ahead of a possible 2028 run (or slow waddle perhaps) for that party's nomination. Part of that effort includes each potential Dem candidate trying to win over the party's base by proving they have the biggest case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Pritzker, who proudly runs the sanctuary state of Illinois and supports the kinds of policies that allow criminal illegals to roam the streets of Chicago, had the gall to blame President Trump for a murder that happened in his state:
Pritzker, yesterday: Trump needs to stop politicizing tragedies like the m*rder of Sheridan Gorman.

Pritzker, today: It’s Trump’s fault. pic.twitter.com/N0ubO6QI8G
I didn't think any of the potential Dem 2028 candidates would be able to out-shameless Gavin Newsom but Pritzker might make that cut.
At least Pritzker's making it clear why his party opposes the SAVE America Act and ICE officers anywhere near polling places:
Donald Trump’s plan to steal the 2026 midterm elections is already underway. https://t.co/CiVsDZtc3k

I like when they basically admit that dissuading illegals from voting would cost Democrats the election.
I haven't had my coffee yet, but let's say he did place ICE at the polling places - who would that prevent from voting?

Why are they so scared of having immigration officers near election polls? https://t.co/lEuVorHuBM

1) That's Steve Bannon, a podcaster, not Trump.

2) How would stopping illegal immigrants from voting "steal" an election, JB? Please explain. https://t.co/mKmbBOBAwj
Pritzker doesn't seem to want to explain what would bother Democrats about ICE agents anywhere near polling places.
It’s going to be very funny if Democrats do well in the midterms and they all act like they never said this stuff https://t.co/SWBQwTQAfi

For now it's about setting the stage for a narrative in case the Dems don't do as well as they're hoping. Remember when questioning the results of an election was a grave threat to the very fabric of "democracy"? Neither does Pritzker, or the rest of the Dems for that matter.
