Axios has been among other media outlets doing some heavy lifting for the Dems lately, and yesterday we saw a good example of that after a post saying that crime has plummeted this year "despite Trump's crackdown" was soon deleted. That post that was memory holed was replaced with this one:
Violent crime dropped sharply across America's biggest cities in 2025, according to new data reviewed by Axios. https://t.co/GfM3oAwkYK
— Axios (@axios) February 11, 2026
The excuse Axios offered for the deletion overheated BS detectors:
No, you deleted it because it said "Crime plunges in major cities despite Trump's crackdown rhetoric" https://t.co/weO5h0IHXV
— jimtreacher.substack.com (@jtLOL) February 11, 2026
Their headline could have been so much simpler and honest but they just couldn't go there.
Then I ran across this doozy from the same outlet that nearly caused me to spit out my coffee:
A year into Trump's term, voters say Biden was better https://t.co/RM6LABeBGK
— Axios (@axios) February 12, 2026
Aside from the usual TDS crowd, I have run across a grand total of ZERO people who say things were better under Biden and President Autopen and now are regretting their vote for Trump.
Do people really want to scrap the secure border, safer city streets, deported violent criminal illegals, cheaper gas, etc., and bring back much higher inflation, trans lunacy, "green" shams and the president who could get lost in an Old Navy fitting room?
Axios: Voters miss the record breaking inflation of the Biden administration

Jake Sullivan, Anthony Blinken, Alejandro Mayorkas, and Merrick Garland while Joe was checked out on the beach? No thank you.

And remember when the country went a whole week with nobody knowing where the Secretary of Defense was? That was awesome.
Axios, you tried... again.
