It's been nearly a year since the Democrats got the boot from the White House, and we're arriving at another "now the real story can be told" era about what happened during the Biden administration. Except that in this case the real story still isn't being told.
The New York Times has published a story about illegal immigration and border security during the Biden-Harris-Mayorkas years that tends to gloss over what happened, and most importantly why.
In the weeks after Joseph R. Biden Jr. was elected president, advisers delivered a warning: His approach to immigration could prove disastrous.
Mr. Biden had pledged to treat unauthorized immigrants more humanely than President Donald J. Trump, who generated widespread backlash by separating migrant children from their parents.
But Mr. Biden was now president-elect, and his positions threatened to drastically increase border crossings, experts advising his transition team warned in a Zoom briefing in the final weeks of 2020, according to people with direct knowledge of that briefing. That jump, they said, could provoke a political crisis.
“Chaos” was the word the advisers had used in a memo during the campaign.
They offered a range of options to avert that crisis, by better deterring migrants. Mr. Biden seemed to grasp the risk. But he and his top aides failed to act on those recommendations.
The warnings came true, and then some. After Mr. Biden became president, migrant encounters at the southern border quickly doubled, then kept rising. New arrivals overwhelmed border stations, then border towns, and eventually major cities like New York and Denver.
Notice how Biden's portrayed as an observer of sorts who became essentially a victim of White House officials' failures to heed "warnings" about their policies and the border.
The New York Post put it this way:
Biden was warned his soft-on-immigration proposals would cause ‘chaos’ — but he ignored it, damning memo reveals https://t.co/axlhc4Hcm9 pic.twitter.com/5OkNjyI2xg

In fact there were no "ignored warnings." Everything that happened after Biden took office was a deliberate effort to facilitate an invasion of the United States and flood the country with illegals that the Dems then hoped to turn into voters.

The Biden admin didn’t ignore anything. It was all intentional and “worked” as planned until it politically backfired.
Biden was not “soft on immigration.”

He implemented a purposeful, focused plan to replace patriotic Americans with barbarians from all over the planet because he believed it would help move the communist revolution forward. https://t.co/plbZLABeJr
As a result, many Americans, along with their families, have paid a very steep and tragic price. How nobody is in prison for allowing it to happen remains one of the more maddening aspects to this story, among the many.

For once I don't disagree with Biden (or whoever posted that to his account), except for a very different reason. Just imagine how things would be if Harris won last November. The Democrats can't be allowed back into the White House or what happened during the Biden years will pale in comparison.
