A few years ago, when Alvin Bragg was campaigning for the job of Manhattan District Attorney, the candidate liked to mention Donald Trump and his family on a regular basis:
While campaigning, Bragg said: "I have investigated Trump and his children and held them accountable for their misconduct with the Trump Foundation. I also sued the Trump administration more than 100 times for the travel ban, the separation of children from their families at the border. So I know that work. I know how to follow the facts and hold people in power accountable."
He also said that he would continue with Vance's investigation and hold Trump "accountable by following the facts where they go."
Bragg continued to make frequent reference to his legal experience with the Trump family throughout the campaign.
And we all know what happened not long after Bragg won the DA election:
DONALD TRUMP: "This is a rigged disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people...

I’m a very innocent man. It’s okay. I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution...

The Left and TDS sufferers everywhere celebrated.
But we all know what occurred not long after that: Trump said the real verdict would be in the November election, and he was right:

That was the "how it started" part for Alvin Bragg and the Democrats. Let's go to the "how it's going" portion for Bragg now that he's seeking reelection:
Last year Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg became the first prosecutor ever to charge and convict an ex-president. Now, running for re-election, he won't talk about the case. Last week there was a debate and *nobody* talked about the case, including Bragg's GOP opponent, beyond one…

Unlike the Arctic Frost operation that's being exposed as we speak, the New York Times actually decided this particular thing was worth reporting:

Plus, here is the debate from last Friday: https://t.co/91NPg5kOs9
The New York Times' story on Bragg's refusal to live up to his name when it comes to the Trump prosecution begins this way:
Alvin L. Bragg hears it regularly, while canvassing voters or just eating his lunch — a “congratulations” here, a “good job” there. Mr. Bragg listens politely and does not respond.
When Mr. Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, was speaking to a group of progressive Democrats on the Upper West Side this month, a man in the audience brought it up again: “Congratulations on your success in prosecuting Donald Trump,” he said, before launching into an unrelated question.
Mr. Bragg, attending the event amid his re-election campaign, did not acknowledge the comment.
The case that defines his first term is never spoken of.
Maybe it's just not as much fun for Bragg now that he knows there's nobody in DC who will have his back at every turn and the lawfare chickens might be coming home to roost.
Of course Bragg won’t talk about it.

Bragg surely knows by now his stunt was pivotal in Trump being re-elected.
If - on the other hand - Kamala had won and Trump was currently sitting in jail then he would be talking about it nonstop.
Bingo.
Thankfully voters didn't reward the Left's lawfare and it backfired. However, they'll come back for more if they're put back in power, which is why that can't happen.
