It's been a rough year for the Democrats so far. MSNBC is going to re-brand because NBC would like to not be lumped in with the nuttery (even though they still will be anyway), Colbert is getting canceled and PBS/NPR have been defunded. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Meanwhile Dems have routinely slammed Fox News, and it's more out of jealousy than anything. But the Left's preferred outlets have learned nothing and just keep pushing BS, resulting in this:
Every day is a bad ratings day for CNN.

Down, down, down.
Fake news isn't a good business model.https://t.co/sAMhheOIJE pic.twitter.com/pn5mUtJBBI
The super journalists at the Associated Press, which to a large degree is just a stenography operation for Democrat narratives and Hamas propaganda, decided to explore why Fox News even whips the alphabet nets along with other cable news outlets:
"Fox News Channel has defied gravity with its ratings, and is more popular with viewers this summer than ABC, CBS or NBC." https://t.co/9EbV9qxV5M

"Defying gravity"? Really? It's not really that tough to figure out.
They’re not defying gravity.

They actually deliver a product that people want to watch, unlike their competitors. https://t.co/o4NpMDfpNJ
An alternate headline from the AP could have been "how catering to TDS-afflicted lefties has cratered ratings for many media outlets."
The highlighted line in the AP's story cracked me up:
Fox News Channel has defied gravity with its ratings, and is more popular with viewers this summer than ABC, CBS or NBC. Its top personalities resolutely support Trump, who has filled his second administration with former Fox stars like Pete Hegseth and Jeanine Pirro. Time after time, the White House turns to Fox to make news; shortly after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump was sitting with Sean Hannity.
Reached by The Associated Press, Fox declined to make anyone available to speak for this story.
Fox News execs know what won't help boost viewership, and speaking to the hacks at the AP is one of them.
For starters, @FoxNews hosts understand they have to actually keep their audiences. Highly recommended.

Maybe many viewers of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC got tired of being promised things that weren't true and then be expected to snap at whatever new "fake news" lures were cast into the water for them to take.
Have a good weekend everybody!
