One of the top issues that Donald Trump won on in the election last year was immigration and border security, and fulfilling his promise to clean up the mess the Biden administration created intentionally is ongoing.
Heck, Biden's people even bragged about it early on:

The Democrats knew their insanity wasn't playing well nationally with American citizens so basically they tried to import people they eventually hoped to turn into voters by the tens of millions.
The Trump administration is now cleaning up after the disastrous Biden years, and like clearing out any mess, sometimes you don't realize the full scope of the damage that was done until you've started the work.
Here's something that speaks volumes but that the Democrats will consider bad news:

The country’s foreign-born population shrank by 1.4 million people from January to June as Trump cracked down, marking the first decline since the 1960s, per @pewresearch. Trump took 181 executive actions in his first 100 days to curtail immigration. https://t.co/YYg9YCUkGA

This is more proof of the Biden years being among the worst ever for America:

Here's the full post from @ByronYork:
On the 1.4 million -- Pew says 'most of the drop is likely due to a fall in the unauthorized immigrant population,' meaning, of course, illegal immigrants. On the issue of illegal immigration, Trump's policies are succeeding in three ways: 1) deporting a relatively small number of illegal immigrants; 2) encouraging others, especially more recent arrivals, to leave after the realization that being in the country illegally could become a serious problem for them; and 3) virtually ending new illegal crossings.
One notable point in the Pew report ("U.S. Unauthorized Immigrant Population Reached a Record 14 Million in 2023; Preliminary data indicates continued growth into 2024 and a decrease in 2025") is that in 2021 there were about 2.7 million illegal immigrants in the country who had some sort of protection from deportation, like parole or a request for asylum. In just two years, by 2023, that number increased to 6 million. That means the Biden administration 1) admitted a record number of illegal border crossers; 2) gave them protections that would make it hard to deport them; all the while 3) performing little or no vetting of their background. Millions of illegal border crossers were allowed to stay on the basis of...nothing. Which is, of course, why there were so many illegal border crossers in the Biden years. And it's how Biden globalized illegal border crossing, with illegal crossers no longer limited to Mexico or Central America but coming from China, India, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Russia -- everywhere. It would be hard to design a more irresponsible border/immigration policy.
We won't even really know exactly how bad the Biden years were for quite a while longer.
Your last sentence - the money shot - is the entire Biden Admin in a nutshell. It was entirely intentional, for obvious reasons.

They allowed (even invited) what amounts to an invasion of the U.S., which is treasonous.
Hard to despise Biden more. And yet, we find out more & more how he screwed over America. https://t.co/qh3Lb8rVdJ

We're just getting to the tip of the iceberg.
I've been listening to Miranda Devine's "Pod Force One" podcast and among the interviews are chats with EPA administrator Lee Zeldin and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. In those interviews both of them explain what was taking place during the Biden years, and basically the Treasury was being raided and taxpayers ripped off, all to enrich Dem cronies. It's unreal, but fortunately last November voters made it clear they'd had enough. Now it's time for accountability.
