Former ABC News reporter Terry Moran is no longer with that network after repeatedly proving that he's not a "journalist" in any way, but he still has "independent journalist" in his X bio.
He also likes to jump to conclusions before all the facts are known, and a recent example of that came when video of an arrest in Washington, DC went viral:
BREAKING: Just saw DC Police + federal agents detain a man on the National Mall. He appeared to try to escape, then was quickly tackled to the ground by several agents + was screaming in Spanish “please, I’m not a criminal, I work here, I want to be with my family” @nbcwashington pic.twitter.com/56IlXEvYbN

And just like that, the Left, Moran included, had a talking point that ended up aging badly:
Anyone who celebrates or takes joy in this is wrong.

You are hurting our country, not saving it.

ICE and the DC police were "hurting our country" by arresting this guy?
UPDATE: ICE has sent a statement on this man’s detention, saying his name is David Perez-Teofani and that he was arrested in Fairfax County in 2024 and charged with aggravated sexual battery against a minor under 13 @nbcwashington pic.twitter.com/KOhxoBnXDD

Never underestimate the ability of a biased "journalist" to end up looking like a fool in record time, all because he wanted another "Trump bad" talking point.
Fast forward a few days and we have another story for Moran to speculate about.
Not much is known about exactly why John Bolton's home was raided by the FBI or what might end up coming from it, but the Biden years have been quickly forgotten and we're now supposed to believe we're back in uncharted territory:
If this happened in any other country, we would know what to call it: The autocrat taking revenge on a man who angers him. A man who dares to criticize him.

The most important thing in American life right now is to see the thing in front of your face, and name it. pic.twitter.com/HnTo0zyHkA
Forget about "any other country," it's happened in this country. It might come as breaking news to such a fine "journalist," but a precedent was set during the previous administration:
I’m sure you were outraged during the Biden admin when homes were being raided

I sure don't remember any takes about "autocrats" threatening the very fabric of our democracy when it was happening under Biden and whoever was actually running the show.
Be real. The FBI did not get a search warrant from a judge based on the fact that Trump was angry at Bolton.

Don't bother the "independent journalists" with facts that wreck his pet narrative.
It happened in THIS country a few years ago and amazingly everybody pissing and moaning today was thrilled about it https://t.co/p0Wm5GXrQM pic.twitter.com/9T9vPher6y

Yep, and these same people were cheering for it.

Oh, but that was great because it was Trump!
These people opened this particular can of worms and can now deal with the consequences, all while they're desperately trying to suspend the "no one is above the law" rule.
Have a good weekend everybody!
