I'll say this for the legacy media -- they've been the source of a lot of laughter since Donald Trump took office (and even before).
As a warm-up here's a recent example:
NPR Chief Katherine Maher says “We're a non-partisan news organization."

HAHAHA! She's hilarious!
As usual, the media strategy continues to be just hoping everybody's stupid or hasn't been paying attention.

Nope, not partisan at all!
The next example of how the MSM spins things revolves around Elon Musk exiting the Trump team and DOGE.
As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 29, 2025
The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.
Musk was limited to 130 days and the media knows that but won't care about that when spinning the story (I'll get to that in a second):
In the coming days, legacy media will try to convince you that President Trump and Elon Musk are no longer friends and that’s why Musk left.
— DogeDesigner (@cb_doge) May 29, 2025
What they won’t tell you is that Elon was a Special Government Employee, limited to 130 days of service and that term ends tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/blNzVm9Gnd
And that's exactly what's happening.
Former "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd let his brand of "journalism" shine with this spin on the story:
The incredible shrinking presidency. Accumulating court losses, tariff authority nixed, Musk slinking away, Putin ignoring him… The question is whether he accepts reality or fights it
— Chuck Todd (@chucktodd) May 29, 2025
"Musk slinking away"? These people couldn't be more predictable.
It’s easy to tell who’s a Democrat by how they frame Musk’s scheduled departure. No matter what is currently happening in the WH Musk had to leave based on rules of his 130-day job position. There’s no slinking. https://t.co/mhEoVHel9K

"Musk leaves as scheduled" would be more honest, but that's why we won't see it worded that way from many "journalists."
Musk was scheduled to leave government by May 28th. How is that slinking away?

Hack.
If Musk overstayed the 130 days Todd and others in the media would have been hyperventilating about an "authoritarian" administration breaking the law, all while wondering why trust in their profession has gone completely down the drain.
