There are so many reasons the Harris-Walz campaign, and the two biggest ones are named Kamala Harris and Tim Walz (maybe throw Joe Biden in there as a dishonorable mention). Combine that with the fact the Dems knew the campaign's biggest liability was the candidate herself and the whole effort was doomed from the start.
What's even more amazing is that Harris and her campaign were arrogant and dismissive on top of all that.
The Teamsters Union joined newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post in choosing to not endorse a presidential candidate this year. They all saw the writing on the wall and seemed a bit burdened by what had been up to that point. The Teamsters' announcement didn't make the Democrats happy, nor did the results of the union's Trump vs. Harris poll:

They saw the writing on the wall. However, the Teamsters' leadership couldn't quite bring themselves to endorse Trump, so they instead said they'd be sitting this one out:
The General Executive Board of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on Wednesday elected not to endorse any candidate for U.S. President.
After reviewing six months of nationwide member polling and wrapping up nearly a year of rank-and-file roundtable interviews with all major candidates for the presidency, the union was left with few commitments on top Teamsters issues from either former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris—and found no definitive support among members for either party’s nominee.
In data publicly released earlier in the day, President Joe Biden won the support of Teamsters voting in straw polls at local unions between April-July prior to his exit from the race. But in independent electronic and phone polling from July-September, a majority of voting members twice selected Trump for a possible Teamsters endorsement over Harris.
Behind the scenes, Harris apparently made it even worse for herself.
Teamsters President Sean O'Brien claimed during an interview with Tucker Carlson that the Harris campaign wanted to be very selective about which questions she would answer and that Kamala said she didn't need their support anyway, which was a bad way to try and earn their support:

The Harris campaign was a dumpster fire from start to finish:
O’Brien said Harris finally agreed to sit with the Teasmsters for a roundtable after President Biden dropped out of the race, just to only answer a quarter of their 16 questions. Other candidates, including Trump, answered them all.
“On the fourth question, one of her operatives or one of her staff slips a note in front of me — ‘This will be the last question.’ And it was 20 minutes earlier than the time it was going to end,” O’Brien told Carlson.
“And her declaration of the way out was, ‘I’m going to win with you or without you,’’ he recalled.
Harris did it without them, and she did not win as we now know. Imagine having all the liabilities of that campaign and insisting on being arrogant on top of it all.
How'd that work out for her?

Not good!
Here's the full interview with Carlson:
Despite the Harris-Walz train wreck, very early 2028 numbers are encouraging... for Vance and the Republicans:
Democrats don't blame Harris. In fact, many want her back in 2028. https://t.co/niwavRc1wb
