Earlier Amy highlighted another great moment in "journalism" from the Associated Press after the news agency of record for the DNC tweeted out this headline about something JD Vance said before eventually deleting and replacing it. The original AP tweet said "JD Vance calls school shootings a 'fact of life,' calls for better school security."
The intent was obvious.
Seems the @AP has created @JDVance’s own ‘very fine people’ lie … he didn’t say shootings are a fact of life.

Holy Hell.
He should sue TF out of them.
As usual, the Associated Press was more interested in helping the Left push a narrative rather than accuracy, but even the AP was getting shamed a bit too much, because they deleted that and replaced it with a take that provided at least a little more context:
The AP deleted their trash tweet about @JDVance after it was about to receive a nuclear community note.

They’ve since reposted it here: pic.twitter.com/w35o8Fw8Du
We can be relatively certain that, not unlike the "very fine people" lie Biden likes to repeat endlessly, Harris will be referring to the AP's original spin in the future even though it's complete BS.
As usual, the lib media relies on the old saying "the truth gets around the world before the truth can get its pants on" (or mom jeans and crocs with socks in the case of many "journalists").

Democrats can rest easy knowing the bogus take was seen a lot more than the walk back:

After over 2.5 million people viewed the egregiously misleading headline against JD Vance, the AP has deleted their post
— Ashley St. Clair (@stclairashley) September 6, 2024
Around 70% of people only read the headline when consuming news online. https://t.co/R68aEjwDhu pic.twitter.com/4ep3xDSOli
Sure enough, @KamalaHQ, which might be the most dishonest account in all of social media, was off and running with the AP's original spin:
Our statement on JD Vance calling school shootings “a fact of life” https://t.co/8OfUFHHzaL pic.twitter.com/rFFF3i4qa2
— Kamala HQ (@KamalaHQ) September 6, 2024
And no, they won't take that back based on the AP's clarification.
@CommunityNotes this is disinformation
— Mollie (@MZHemingway) September 6, 2024
Spreading disinformation is their business, and business is good.
THE LIE: JD Vance said school shootings are a “fact of life.”
— KamalaHQLies (@KamalaHQLies) September 6, 2024
THE TRUTH: This is an egregious lie and is taken completely out of context.
It’s also worth noting that Kamala opposes police officers in schools who would help stop school tragedies.
Here is exactly what JD Vance… pic.twitter.com/Ys8Sumy5zK
Media outlets like the AP know what their job is, and the Harris campaign appreciates their service.
AP put out a false headline, deletes the post, but this was the entire point. Incredible. https://t.co/BTYbgrPRm0
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) September 6, 2024
This is why there are so many low-information Democrat voters. The AP deleted this headline after thousands of conservatives noted that Vance actually said the opposite. But it doesn’t matter because Kamala’s campaign was served up a damning Tweet albeit one based on nothing. https://t.co/d7RG3yfWGE
— Max Abrahms (@MaxAbrahms) September 6, 2024
"Based on nothing," just like the rest of the Harris campaign. Well, except for all the lies it's based on, of course. Meanwhile the Associated Press has served up their daily example of why it's impossible to loathe the media too much.
