When it comes to the public's opinion of the Biden presidency, this White House's approval numbers fall somewhere in between invasive dental work and ear infections, especially on the economy:
President Joe Biden’s job approval rating remains at 37%, tying his personal low, with disapproval at 59%. Approval ratings of the president’s handling of healthcare (40%) and the situation in Ukraine (38%) are similar to his overall rating, while fewer, 32% each, approve of his handling of the economy, foreign affairs, and the situation between the Israelis and Palestinians.

With less than a year to go until the presidential election, Biden continues to receive tepid ratings from the American public. His overall job approval rating is still at his personal low and is in historically dangerous territory for an incumbent seeking reelection. In addition, political independents’ record-low rating of Biden is striking. Biden’s even weaker ratings on the economy, foreign affairs and the Middle East suggest that his performance in these areas is dragging down his overall job performance rating.
As it pertains to Team Biden trying to improve his numbers on the economy, the White House is taking the approach of lying like crazy and hoping everybody's stupid. It's not working, but they're still trying.
This pathetic attempt to blame "corporate price gouging" for prices not falling while claiming inflation has "come down" earned a nice big Community Note:
