The Biden White House's strategy to combat this administration's horrible numbers on the economy is simple:
Hope everybody's either stupid or hasn't gone to a grocery store in the last two-plus years.
But hey, there might be a good reason for Biden to think the economy is doing great. Isn't everybody spending the long holiday weekend at the Nantucket home of a billionaire?
Joe Biden and Jill, Ed.D., have arrived in Nantucket, where they'll be on vacation for the rest of the week at their billionaire friend's $34 million compound.

It's unclear why Biden is using this smaller plane, but he did successfully navigate the stairs. pic.twitter.com/HeRb5LfXcv
At least Biden will get a chance to scold this billionaire about not paying his fair share! He won't take advantage of the opportunity, but still.
That brings me to the epic amount of gaslighting. This all started with "Putin's price hikes" and now the White House is trying to sell us on "Biden's price drops":

Ahead of the holiday season, costs are down for everything from airline tickets and car rentals to toys and TVs.

This Thanksgiving, we’re seeing important progress on inflation, with prices lower for:

They don't say what that's compared to, so here's former Obama "car czar" Steve Rattner to add some perspective:
Go ahead, fill your plate. The Farm Bureau's annual Thanksgiving price survey shows this year's meal coming in at 4.5% cheaper than in 2022. @Morning_Joe pic.twitter.com/FpMf9IFQQm

Wow, it was nice of him to point out how much cheaper things were under the previous administration. I couldn't help but remind the White House about a meme that's been going around that sums up Biden's "savings" perfectly:

I realize this White House has ZERO accomplishments to hang their hat on but the constant "we're saving you money" BS is beyond insulting.
Prices are down for everything yet this year I’ve had to dip into my savings. Okay. https://t.co/TOl4taXZHe

It's because of all the money Biden's saving us, or something.
This is self-parody. This is art

They compare everything to what it was like a year ago at peak awfulness and then brag about it. Next November can't come fast enough.
