ABC News dutifully adds Dem spin on expansion of Fla. Parental Rights in Education bill

Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill is being expanded, but the Democrats should temper their fury just a little bit in the knowledge that the media’s still spinning on their behalf. ABC News showed again how it’s done:

“So-called ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill“? We’ll get to that in a second:

The Florida Board of Education has voted to expand restrictions on classroom instruction related to sexual orientation and gender identity.

“This amendment prohibits classroom instruction to students in pre-kindergarten through Grade 3 on sexual orientation or gender identity. For Grades 4 through 12, instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity is prohibited unless such instruction is either expressly required by state academic standards … or is part of a reproductive health course or health lesson for which a student’s parent has the option to have his or her student not attend,” according to the amendment.

ABC News noted that the bill “was dubbed ‘Don’t Say Gay’ by critics” which of course the media immediately began calling it because they’re super non-biased journalists:

The law was dubbed “Don’t Say Gay” by critics for aiming to restrict curriculum that includes history, literature and more that touch on LGBTQ identities.

You’ve probably noticed that the media doesn’t use what Republicans call Democrat legislation in their headlines. For example, you won’t find any MSM stories headlined “Democrats pass so-called Inflation-Worsening Act.” But the rules are different when it comes to Republican legislation.

Yeah, and they just don’t care.

Hack media’s gonna hack media.

As always, “follow the money.”

And much of the media is obviously more than happy to help.
