The other day I had a story focusing on how San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s “defund the police” lunacy has panned out, and it’s not good.
This week brought with it more tragic news about what “reform-minded” progressive leadership has helped accomplish:
The creator of Cash App and former chief technology officer at Square was killed in a stabbing Tuesday in San Francisco, according to people who knew him and police. https://t.co/VafXH24HqL

Sadly, Lee had moved out of San Francisco and was living in Miami.
Lee moved to Miami because S.F. was turning to crap, then went back to visit people in S.F. and got killed. https://t.co/bwPM0lfVHI

From the NY Post:
Lee’s pal and mixed martial arts champion Jake Shields told NewsNation that Lee had just moved away from the Bay Area city after remarking its decline as drug abuse and crime have spiraled out of control.
“[Lee] did comment on San Francisco deteriorating, which is why he actually had just relocated to Miami,” Shields told the outlet. “So I’m not, I’m not sure why he’s going back there to get a little business back in San Francisco for a couple of days.”
It’s an awful story and things like this did not need to happen.
Elon Musk has a question for San Francisco’s “reform-minded” District Attorney Brooke Jenkins:
Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted.
Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately.
Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders @BrookeJenkinsSF?

D.A. Jenkins responded to the story about Lee’s murder this way:
I want to extend my sincerest condolences to Mr. Lee’s family members & loved ones for his loss. We do not tolerate these horrific acts of violence in San Francisco.
At this time no arrests have been made. Anyone w/ information is asked to call @SFPD Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444. https://t.co/J7V8N4gake

“We do not tolerate these horrific acts of violence in San Francisco.”
Really? Horrific crimes are on the rise in big cities (run by Democrats of course) because crime has been tolerated for so long.
Actually, yes…you do. Your lax approach to prosecuting violent criminals is why so many businesses are leaving California altogether. https://t.co/5rpG9WByhX

If you’re looking for the persons responsible you can start by looking in the mirror. https://t.co/5S5QYcD9h8

Is a bit of introspection too much to ask from these “progressive” government officials?
The time to “not tolerate these horrible acts” would’ve been BEFORE a psycho murdered this man in cold blood. https://t.co/j6G9MZcl7S

They don’t tolerate it?
That’s a flat out lie 🙄Not only do they tolerate it, they promote it, turn a blind eye to it when it happens then they provide sanctuary to the criminals.
You reap what you sow and sad they they only care now because it’s a high profile human. https://t.co/KlgpQYQY3V

San Francisco is a “sanctuary city” that encourages people to live in the U.S. illegally but sure, they care so much about enforcing the law.
Literally just lock criminals up. It would be that easy.

People aren’t leaving California in droves because lefties like Jenkins have created safe cities.
