Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio are both up for re-election tonight (update: they’ve both been projected as the winners), and judging from early returns from Miami-Dade County, both will end up winning another term in office:
DeSantis is currently up 8 points in Miami-Dade County with 60% in.
In 2018, he lost it by 20 points. Unreal.

Rubio also up by 8 in Miami-Dade
Keep in mind, this is a county Hillary won by nearly 30 points in 2016
Florida is a red state.

DeSantis is up 8 points in *Miami-Dade* with 66% of the votes in. He lost by 20 points in the same county four years ago. RDS is an absolute juggernaut given his ability to win in deep-blue counties and solidify red ones. Crist heading for a beating.

On MSNBC, when analyst Steve Kornacki checked in on the early returns on Miami-Dade County, the rest of the panel seemed to sense that some bad news for Democrats is on the way in that state:

Big lead for DeSantis in Miami-Dade as well in the early returns. pic.twitter.com/QWutJrtZLL

The night is young but things certainly seem to be shaping up nicely for DeSantis and Rubio in the Sunshine State.
