Last weekend, after a round of golf, President Biden referred to what’s going on at the southern border as a “crisis”:

After that the White House immediately made it clear that what President Biden says doesn’t necessarily reflect the official position of the Biden administration.
Even though Biden has called it a “crisis,” Politico will reportedly go by the more official position of the rest of the Biden administration:
NEW: Politico has ordered its staff to no longer refer to the surge on the southern border as a "crisis," the latest evidence of an ideological shift at a publication that once prided itself as appealing to both sides of the aisle.https://t.co/32M1y4Hddi

The Washington Examiner reported that the new guideline is in an internal Politico memo they obtained.
If it’s actually true that Politico is telling writers not to use the word “crisis” with respect to the border, and instead pushing the word “challenge” — the same word Jen Psaki recently began using — that is very messed up. It’s state media behavior. https://t.co/cb9V4og4Is

Ok how about calling it what it is Border Disaster or Border Emergency or Border Invasion? https://t.co/lmn5QRuBEK
