Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats continue to sit on the articles of impeachment they passed on Wednesday. Democrats say they’re doing so because Mitch McConnell won’t pledge to conduct a “fair trial” (“fair trial” possibly defined as one that convicts Trump of the vague charges).
All this has given the media an opportunity to coin another nickname for the Senate Majority Leader. This one’s courtesy of the New York Times:

“Master of the Blockade”?
Hahahahahahhahahahahahahaahhahahahahahaahhahaah this is hysterical
Every time you try to denigrate Mitch he just gets cooler. “Master of the Blockade” …some good ones to try:
-Lord Protector of the Senate
-Warden of the Chamber
– Lord Paramount of Kentucky@HolmesJosh— Political Gritty (@PoliticalGritty) December 21, 2019
Move aside “Cocaine Mitch,” “Nuclear Mitch” and “Grim Reaper Mitch,” because we’ve got a new one!
One not-so-secret secret about the Senate: it’s not hard to master blocking things if you’re the majority leader. https://t.co/IkqD5Z39AR

Also, isn’t Nancy Pelosi the one doing the blockading at the moment?
“Plots”…at least he didn’t pounce or seize.

Maybe “Mitch the Seizer” will be his next nickname.
