Yesterday’s impeachment inquiry hearing in the House Intelligence Committee ended up focusing largely on a tweet President Trump sent during testimony from former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch.
The fact that Trump’s gratuitous tweet against Fmr. Amb. Yovanovich became the big news of the day tells you how little her testimony added to the case for impeachment. Not her fault, she just didn’t know much about the central issues in the case.

Schiff & company certainly weren’t finding anything else they were digging for, so a “mean tweet” became the focus of the hearing for both Dems and the media.

I think that the purpose of her testimony was primarily to build their case that the Orange Man is Bad. I could be wrong.
