In response to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claiming this week after touring a detention center that women were made to “drink from the toilet,” the New York Post published an editorial calling out her theatrics, which included this:
AOC has a great gift for theater, as in her claim that detained women are forced to drink from toilets — which apparently refers to standard plumbing units for these facilities, which hold both a sink and toilet.
AOC and other Dems have been claiming people held at the detention centers have been forced to “drink from the toilet,” but the border patrol had a different explanation:
“This is what happened with the migrant & drinking water from toilet. She wanted water. Didn’t know how to use the faucet in the cell and drank from the toilet … This was when she [the migrant] was apprehended and brought into the facility,” a Border Patrol agent wrote.

But no explanation was about to keep Rep. Adam Schiff from taking the Dem talking points and running with them in response to a tweet from President Trump defending border patrol officers:
No showers. Standing room only cells. Children taking care of babies. Officers instructing migrants to drink toilet water.
Trump has no plan to fix this, and no desire to do so.

However, anything being said by the congressman who pushed the Trump/Russia collusion story for almost three years should of course be viewed with the appropriate skepticism.
