Bill Maher guest Fran Lebowitz sorry her suggestion to turn Trump over to 'the same Saudis who got rid of that reporter' was 'misinterpreted'

Anybody who has ever seen Bill Maher’s “Real Time” on HBO knows that they can count on a fair share of anti-Trump rhetoric from both the host and many of his guests, but sometimes the tone of that rhetoric is far more extreme than others. Last night was one of those times:

Later, it sounded like Lebowitz got her arm twisted until saying she regretted making the previous comments. Notice that Maher puts most of the words into her mouth:

Now that was a forced “apology” if we’ve ever seen one.

And Lebowitz saying “they misinterpret everything” didn’t exactly scream “sincerity.”
