Alabama Gov's tweet about legislation to ensure 'every life is sacred' sends blue check pro-aborts off the rails

The governor of Alabama has signed a strict anti-abortion law, and here’s what she had to say about it on Twitter:

Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act. To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God. https://t.co/DwKJyAjSs8 pic.twitter.com/PIUQip6nmw

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez weighed in Wednesday morning, and much of the other blue check backlash is something else:

You’re a terrible, cowardly white supremacist who doesn’t give a damn about the well-being of your constituents via healthcare, the prison system, or unions, but willingly choose to allow women to be killed and marginalized because you’re anti-women while hiding behind God.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Its 2019 pls evolve.

This is anti American, you should be ashamed and disgusted. We will fight back. Real Christians do not judge, and that’s all this bill does, judge and condemn.

Your legacy is one of disgrace. You betray all women with this decision. Your corruption, your hatred of women, there are no words.

if that were true, wouldnt #Alabama being leading the way on gun control? and assault weapon bans? So strange. @GovernorKayIvey #AlabamaHatesWomen @Alyssa_Milano @NARAL @PPFA https://t.co/ZRMEUzgp6l

I wish boycotting Alabama wasn’t so easy. This injustice definitely deserves more of an effort.

— Gailen David (@gailendavid) May 15, 2019

You're a shining example of everything wrong with our country. You have no real moral compass, and your values are a facade.

Imagine thinking your state is “pro-life” when you’re:
– 2nd in Gun Violence
– 45th in Health Care
– 50th in Education
– 45th in opportunity for residents
– 45th in crime and corrections
Sounds more like pro-forced birth than anything to do w/ the sanctity of life. h/t @MattxRed

WAIT A SECOND – THE ALABAMA GOVERNOR IS A WOMAN?!

Shame on ANYONE who would take away the rights of a human who can get pregnant and their control over their body, but EXTRA #ShameOnYou @GovernorKayIvey for taking what 25 men told you to do & doing it. https://t.co/hhFTH1aBo5

Keep your evil god out of my vagina, you weird old goat.

— Kay Hanley (@kayhanley) May 16, 2019

Today you gave up your right to be a woman. You don’t deserve to hold office in any form let alone stand for a gender you just demolished.
