It’s Tax Day, and after months of hearing how the GOP tax plan was just a big cut for the rich on the backs of everybody else, the New York Times has some info to pass along:
Studies consistently find that the 2017 law cut taxes for most Americans. Yet, as the first tax filing season under the new law wraps up on Monday, taxpayers are skeptical. https://t.co/23QBxWKyS3

Skeptical? Now why would that be?
They're skeptical because the media and Democrats have done EVERYTHING possible to push the lie that the GOP only cut taxes for the very wealthy.
Math doesn't lie. https://t.co/YiR3gpWx89

Because many media outlets and Dems said they weren’t really getting one. Only the greedy rich people and big bad corporations were.

Everybody else was at risk of death, or something.
Maybe it comes from reading the times

It’s both pitiful and hilarious to see media reporting that people are skeptical of the truth when at least some of that skepticism is generated by false or misleading stories in the press.
Let’s be honest, the media portrayed the tax cuts at every angle as not being tax cuts because of withholding differences that saw smaller refunds. The media shoulders much of the blame here

Maybe journos take too much advice from Alyssa Milano.
The anger of journos having to report that republicans were right, and that media's joint effort with DNC to gaslight Americans with false narrative was total garbage https://t.co/AZpTDg5TAK

Not possible. All the people who know nothing about taxes said only the super rich were going to get a tax cut…
Face it, you (probably) got a tax cut. #taxday #taxday2019 https://t.co/ptSYYr4ILZ— Carol Roth (@caroljsroth) April 15, 2019
Take a bow, fake news. You built this.

We’re glad the Times cleared that up… several months late.
