About a month ago, ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd wanted the media (and everybody else) to keep chewing on the Covington story and hammering “the kids, their parents and the school” no matter what:

Fast forward about four weeks, and for some reason Dowd has a completely different view of the Jussie Smollett story:

That might be reasonable if Smollett's initial accusation wasn't covered so heavily by national media as fact only to have it blow up in Smollett's face.
