As you now know, CNN’s Jim Acosta went to Texas where President Trump was meeting with local officials and tried to mock President Trump’s call for increased border security with mixed-message tweets like this:
I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today. pic.twitter.com/KRoLdszLUu

All Acosta accomplished, if anything, was to help prove Trump’s point. But former CNN reporter Peter Hamby, helped show why Acosta might want to build a wall around his Twitter mentions for the next couple of days:
I am *shocked* that a glib video, customized for re-tweets and filmed in broad daylight along one of the more secure parts of the RGV by a reporter who parachuted in for the day, did not reveal anything dramatic. https://t.co/TgPzMtU8pl

Damn!
President Trump and others mocked Acosta with “Dear Diary” style tweets, but CNN’s Resistance reporter getting smacked down by a former CNN reporter is pretty rough:
Acosta is getting the Twitter treatment today on his "report" from the border. But not by the usual people who criticize him, but even by former CNNers such as Peter Hamby. https://t.co/kdkiPxiMuG

To add insult to injury, Hamby told his followers where to get “actual journalism” instead of Acosta’s Democrat narrative water-carrying:
For actual journalism & expertise from the U.S.-Mexico border, please follow reporters like @jeanguerre @ajcorchado @RichMarosi @edlavaCNN @bobmoorenews @mollyhf @nachoaguilar @gadiNBC @jacobsoboroff @BorundaDaniel @aflores @Haleaziz. Sure I'm missing some. Please suggest more. https://t.co/o24q4G3ceW
