NBC News tweeting a story that is in part about President Trump’s response to the latest filing from the Mueller investigation isn’t sitting well with Democrat Sen. Brian Schatz:
Dear NBC, you are doing it again. This is not some minor media criticism or partisan complaint. You have become a vector for an obviously lie. You seriously have to cut it out. https://t.co/AaqOlHeWUG
— Brian Schatz (@brianschatz) December 7, 2018
So is he accusing a media outlet of pushing “fake news” or something?
For some reason it’s okay for this politician to criticize the media. No pearl-clutching over “assaults on a free press”
Weird. https://t.co/raqRETlsww

“Weird” is right! As usual, it’s only OK when a Democrat does it.
We must stop these irresponsible press outlets from
um
quoting people accurately, without editorial comment https://t.co/dnsQHGbzfr

Why do you hate freedom of the press, Senator?

And it wasn’t just Sen. Schatz — there was an avalanche of criticism for NBC News by many who would much rather get back to slamming Trump for daring to question the media’s methods.
