After so much anti-gun lunacy coming from the likes of a congressional Dem (and likely presidential candidate) reminding gun owners opposed to confiscation that the government has the nukes, David Hogg with a shark hot take or any number of Hollywood lefties pushing radical gun control measures, actress Rose McGowan tweeted this message for President Trump:
Dear .@POTUS I’d like to discuss mental health in America with you. I believe by revamping the mental health system you could help solve the gun problem. You keep your guns, we get mental health funding and humane care. Does that seem like a fair trade? #MentalHealthSupport

Coming from Hollywood that was viewed by many as a breath of fresh air:
Sounds like a good start #gunowner

Funding has to be properly targeted, but sure. As long as it works (or we think the chances are very good), I am very much for this. https://t.co/KqU6lIUoVr

A refreshing approach. I too think mental health should be addressed. @rosemcgowan this 2A supporter would be more than willing to listen. https://t.co/7okz4DV6Ax

McGowan might even be on the same page with the NRA.
Welcome to the NRA… that is … like… the half of the platform.
You may be surprised to learn that the NRA also supports gun safety, education, and background checks. https://t.co/aQy1OGdpiW

If only a certain association had already brought this up time & time again.

Did Rose just switch to right? Isn't this what we have been saying for years?

There are people who agree with the NRA on some issues even though they might not realize it.
