The last jobs report before the midterm elections has been released, and it continues to show the U.S. economy in an uptick:
Monster Jobs Report
250,000 Jobs
32,000 manufacturing
30,000 construction
5,000 mining
24,800 transportation & warehousing
But wages soaring 3.1% says it all – look at that chart

The report’s so good a former economic adviser to Joe Biden is singing the economy’s praises:

Pretty much everything you could want in a monthly jobs report. Payroll gains way better than expected, nice pop in labor force participation, wage growth continues to strengthen, finally beating inflation (real gains!). Score 1 for "room-to-run" crowd!

But, predictably, liberals are scrambling to downplay the new report, especially with the midterm elections just days away:
Anything good in this #JobsReport is thanks to Obama and the American people. We haven’t suffered yet due to Trump’s trade wars, him adding to the deficit and tax cuts he gave to the wealthy. We will probably feel that impact next year. No good is due to Trump. None. #VoteDem

If the economy is so great then why is the labor participation rate still today 62.9%?! That's EXACTLY Same rate the day he took office in Jan 2017. It should be much higher if good jobs with livable wages were truly available #JobsReport

NO. It Can’t. You inherited this economy and your deregulation and backward leaning policies will destroy the planet and us. Please #VoteBlue https://t.co/Vflt4hBIVm

The economy adding jobs will make Trump look better in the crucial days leading into the midterms. That means we have added pressure to get Democrats out to the polls. Please, vote. Our future depends on it!

Former Bill Clinton spox Joe Lockhart didn’t like Sarah Sanders’ tweet:
President @realDonaldTrump continues to defy expectations and prove his critics wrong. America’s economy has never been stronger https://t.co/SfNmx35mjg
— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec) November 2, 2018
That statement is a slap in the face of the tens of millions of Americans who are working multiple jobs and still falling further behind. The economy right now is great for the wealthiest.
— Joe Lockhart (@joelockhart) November 2, 2018
That will most likely be the congressional Democrats’ spin on the latest jobs report. And obviously Obama will accept full credit for any gains.
