'Guardians of the Galaxy' actor leaving Twitter after Disney fires James Gun over old tweets

After the emergence of old tweets published by James Gunn which contained disgusting “jokes” about child rape and pedophilia, Disney fired the writer/director from “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3.”

Actor Michael Rooker, who portrayed Yondu Udonta in the first two “Guardians” movies, says he’s leaving Twitter as a result:

Other “Guardians” actors have weighed in this way:

‘I will stand for you’: Glenn Beck offers friendship to James Gunn; Ted Cruz calls old tweets ‘truly evil’

‘Hung, on his own petard’: WHOOPS! It looks like Disney took James Gunn’s advice when they fired James Gunn

Ben Shapiro: Firing James Gunn ‘for vile old joke tweets is bad precedent and a mistake’
