Senate Democrats such as Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein have said they’ll oppose the nomination of Gina Haspel for CIA director, and the subject of waterboarding is again being debated. President Trump has given Haspel his full support:
Gina Haspel, my highly respected nominee to lead the CIA, is being praised for the fact that she has been, and alway will be, TOUGH ON TERROR! This is a woman who has been a leader wherever she has gone. The CIA wants her to lead them into America’s bright and glorious future!

Whoopi Goldberg doesn’t like that one bit, and issued a challenge of sorts to the president:

On the other side of the issue, a former CIA interrogator issued a reverse challenge this morning:
Whoopi Goldberg says Trump should ‘try’ waterboarding. Dr. James Mitchell retorts, “The next time there’s credible intelligence of another catastrophic attack…she can go to some unsafe place in the world and interrogate the terrorists and I’ll stay back home.” pic.twitter.com/qhycv8GBVa

Ha! As IF.
By the way @WhoopiGoldberg you might ACTUALLY read Dr. James Mitchell's book. He volunteered to be waterboarded before he participated in waterboarding al Qaeda detainees; EITs worked and the #CIA saved lives. https://t.co/NI5WMB6N7v
