Narrative FAIL: Chris Cillizza gets reality checked HARD after this claim about seizing guns

CNN’s Chris Cillizza pointed out something he thinks is a bogus talking point put out by pro-2nd Amendment groups:

Congress doesn't act on gun measures because the gun lobby has convinced people Democrats want to seize their gunshttps://t.co/gcbMhC1IpI

Wait, really? Seems like there’s more to it than that:

That’s one possibility not under consideration by Cillizza.

Actually it was the Democrats who convinced me Democrats want to seize my guns. https://t.co/YLioTaRkMW

Who knew the New Republic was among the “gun lobby”? And it doesn’t stop there…

Gee, maybe it's because y'all keep saying "We should totally do what Australia did"https://t.co/HMPLGP258g https://t.co/IeuQd7r2Ap

The gun lobby didn't convince me that Democrats want to take my guns, the Democrats did.

Or maybe it's because your ignorant demagoguery against guns has failed to persuade people? https://t.co/i0XQQlV6iN

The MSM sure can dutifully push the Dem narrative when they’re called into action.
