Attn. Nancy Pelosi! Michelle Malkin also has a concern about HUD secretary 'qualifications'

Donald Trump has nominated Ben Carson to be the next Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Rep. Nancy Pelosi quickly slammed Carson as “disturbingly unqualified.” Because Pelosi seems to be in a mood to talk about HUD secretary qualifications, Michelle Malkin took the discussion in a slightly different direction:

From May 2014:

San Antonio failed to properly spend funds approved by Congress to combat the housing crisis while President Barack Obama’s expected nominee to run the Housing and Urban Development Department was mayor of the city, according to a 2012 report from the agency’s inspector general.

The report could be a blemish on the record of San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro, a rising star in the Democratic party whose consideration for a spot in the cabinet is seen as a way to burnish his national political profile.

We don’t recall Pelosi or other Dems raising major “qualification” concerns when Obama nominated Julian Castro to be HUD secretary (he was confirmed in July of 2014).
